As Nick's blown it by saying Cy Curnin will be here at Telfords for the '38 Special', I might as well add to that. Although the Mancunians and Scousers will get him first, there will be added jollity at this one - and EVEN MORE of a reason to make sure you're here.:D

    NICK HARPER (Acoustic/Folk)

TICKETS £10- After 6 studio albums, a double live CD and 2 EPs (including Instrumental, a stunning display of his guitar talents), Nick’s work is still as fresh and vital as that of his first solo release in 1994. The recently released sixth studio album, Miracles For Beginners, is a return to a more stripped-down acoustic based style, from the folk tale of the meeting of King Henry 8th and Francis 1st in 1520 in The Field Of The Cloth Of Gold. to a beautiful latin tinged paean to the the Bolivian President Evo Morales in Evo. But, as with his highly personal 2004 “family album” Blood Songs, he still has time to sing about the most important things in his world - family, friends, love, life.

SO.......Get down here! You know you want to!

    Thanks

We had a nice mention about this in the Liverpool Echo yesterday. But...please...if everyone could spread this around the web a bit over the next 48 hours, it'd be wonderful! Remember, this is a show that will be a bit special as well as trying to raise a bit of cash for LHSF.

It was a good gig, great to meet Paul Sullivan, Big Chris and Mitzi for the first time, and nice to see Linn again..
It was a stand up gig, so I'm sure there will be some with aching limbs today! Enjoyed the support acts too.

    And Leyla, Shaun!

Thanks to everybody who came along, and especially to everyone who so generously donated to the Love Hope Strength collection. We raised a fair amount of money and I came home laden down with pound coins! Cheque on its way to Katrina.

11/10 for effort - getting both the supports' setlists was bloody good going!

A bit out of running order with Nick's - ! - and there was one you missed...

I simply adore Sunshine. BigChris's mate Steve and I mounted a two man (well, one man one woman) fight for that!
