I am probably going to release this on Monday 4th unless I get an unexpected bunch of free time in the next couple of days. I have a good interview in the bag, but need to edit it and sort out the levels, plus I have a bunch of other stuff to do and time is running short. Hopefully the bank holiday on Monday will enable me to finish everything off!

Podcast 22 is out now, I finished recording and mixing it this morning so it's hot off the press. I am intrigued to see how many entries we get to the competition - I think it's a bit tricky (and don't blame me!). Aaro was really good to interview and I know a lot of you have read his postings to the mailing list or looked at his website in the past so I hope you enjoy hearing what he has to say. Paul.
Nah ha ha :reddevil: Honest guv' I was going to only make it naming the songs. So you have to blame Mhairi my eldest that you have to name the bootleg and or album as well which I suspect may have a few folks struggling. But on the plus side it will get you listening to lots of Roy I didn't realise how young Aaro was and I loved his comment about giving up playing the guitar having seen Nick playing. I certainly felt the same way for a while but Rooben's site (sadly MIA at the moment) gave me some hope and I have recently managed to get The Verse Time Forgot sorted out guitar wise although I'm struggling to sing the lyrics at the same time practice practice as Matt Churchill advised on the Matt Churchill Special Podcast Best of luck with the competition folks :reddevil:
Just so folks are clear the closing date for my wee competition is midnight Saturday the 30th May 2009 British Summertime http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.co.uk/
Temporary Freeloader I usually take a one hour walk in the evenings and the latest podcast is always a looked forward to companion. I must surely look like an idiot walking along, smiling, and laughing out loud in all of the appropriate spots. You have a soothing speaking voice PD and joyful laugh and definitely pulled one over with the remix fool. While this podcast was a little more outside of the realm of Roy Harper it was entertaining just the same and I’d like you to know that your hard work and efforts are greatly appreciated. I’ll eventually put the money where the mouth is when economic times improve a little but in the meantime, I appreciate you letting me and I'm sure many others float along for free. Blessings.
Thanks very much Lolly! I felt like such a fool for the first few podcasts sat at my microphone rambling on and it was even worse listening back to them on proper speakers. I've got used to hearing my own voice now though and you're not the first to have said that I have a soothing voice though I'm not sure my wife would always agree... I think it's the microphone I use actually, it brings out the low notes Paul.
22 podcasts in, and every one still as fresh, to also have the knack of holding the interest, and injecting the quality and anticipation we've been accustomed to, must be a tall order every month..Great job Paul, great Aaro interview too, I always look forward to new episodes! What can I say about the music, loved "You" from Unknown Soldier, would love to listen to the version of Roy doing both vocal parts. Kind Regards, Shaun.
The closing date is fast approaching but as yet only one actual entry but as he has the prize already he has very kindly donated it back so someone else who hasn't got Roy's Beyond the Door DVD (which includes the excellent audio CD as well) will have a chance. Andi you said you would give it a go but I haven't heard from you Any other contenders out there? Or maybe you are all saving it for the last minute to get your entries, like bidding on ebay
Well, I didn't think so on the one hearing I gave it and I'm not about to scroll through the whole podcast again just to hear a split second .... Bob
Ah if that's the problem here's a link to just the quiz. http://homepage.mac.com/fuzzytnth3/trapdoor/warblyquiz.mp3
Good idea to post the competition mp3 separately. Wish I'd thought of doing that from the start, particularly for those that don't download the mp3 but rather listen to it on the web page (yes, there are actually people that do this). Regarding the next podcast, I have a really hectic weekend coming up for various reasons but I'll do my best to get it out on time. I do at least have an interview ready though it was somewhat beer and curry fuelled! Fuzzy, I'll get in touch with you on Sat to see how the land lies re the competition and to discuss options with you P.
