I'm just doing the final mix and listen through at the moment. It'll be up tomorrow morning. I am really pleased with this one for reasons which will become obvious, I hope.

I've published podcast 24. I'm particularly pleased with the interview with Nigel Mazlyn Jones. Before I get any complaints about lack of Roy content, he does cover his memories of working with Roy on "Once" in part 2 next month :) I think John did a brilliant job as guest interviewer and I'd be keen to hear from anyone else that fancies helping out.

I've rejigged my microphone audio a little on this podcast. I'm trying to make it just a bit clearer for people in noisy environments. I don't expect you to notice!

    Cheers

    Paul.

I've uploaded another version of this podcast as I felt on the original one my microphone sound was too loud. I was going for a "voice radio" type effect but it seemed a bit over the top when I listened to it on "proper" speakers yesterday. Again, I'm not necessarily expecting anyone to notice :)

I just returned from walking and listening to the latest Podcast. Thank you for the introduction to Nigel and his lovely music. It was a nice touch to intersperse the music with the interview and both John and Nigel did a very nice job. All in all very well done but still, a Podcast without PD or Roy...

As for Roy’s beer, I'd love to have a "Bitter Roy"

    Cheers.

I thought it was a great interview and I'm really looking forward to Part II. I have to admit to not knowing much about Nigel M-J at all, and I hadn't gone out of my way in the past to find out much more about him, but after this interview I'm going to check out some more of his wonderful music. I thought the inclusion of this interview was totally relevant and a fantastic chronicle of the festival scene which kept it on point with Roy and his past career, in my opinion. It was a free festival where I first saw him.

On another note, I'm a recent convert to the ipod and itunes. It's blooming marvelous how the podcast pops up in my little player each month - I get the same rush waiting for each new episode as I used to every Wednesday waiting for my Beano to arrive!

Hmmm, problems downloading this one on iTunes; "err=9006"... any ideas? :confused1:

Not really... and it's approaching 1000 downloads so far. Have you changed anything on your end lately regarding ISP, web proxy, download accelerator or similar?

Scratch that... I think I found a problem and corrected it. Can you try again and tell me if it works now please?

Thanks very much for bringing this up.

Yep.... left the laptop on overnight and it's sorted itself somehow. Was this the podcast you re-uploaded with a different sound level? If so I guess that had something to do with it. Anyway, 3 days off and plenty of time to chill and listen to this one...:D

Yep. It appears that iTunes caches some info about the file download and when I changed it later, it decided that the downloads were corrupt. I've reverted back to the original so apologies if it seems like I'm SHOUTING ALL THE TIME :)

PS I've moved the posts in this thread that had nothing to do with podcast 24 to the off topic forum.
