I'm working on this at the moment though it won't be appearing for a few days yet. Given the recent resurgence of gigs and, I hope, interest in Roy's music, I am aiming for a bit of an "intro to RH" feel to this one. Watch this space.
Song of the Ages Excellent "show" PD. Congratulations and ta. I must dig out my treasured box of Song of the Ages and give 'em a whirl. Unashamed showing-off there.
What a nice surprise, Paul. Nothing was going right that day, when suddenly your latest post appeared in iTunes and I started listening right away. I wonder if you have a new angle on some future podcasts. I realized I'd been using your podcast a great deal to get caught up on all I missed, and this last one was unabashed in that approach. Hope all is well, as I haven't posted in a while! I see the Radio Free Oz Podcast I've mentioned is now looking to produce more than one level, with some available for a "small" subscription including more interactive web stuff. As proselytizers of Roy, that would be harder to do than Roy himself, but we are all truly grateful for what you can do to promote his music. Wish I could do more to cut through all the commercialization over here, but I'm not the best person for that job either. But if I can do something to promote Roy/Nick, it'll be my pleasure! Or have I said this all before?
Another good podcast Paul, I really enjoyed this one. I took the iPod down to the beach and downed a couple of pints (of latte) on the front, sitting motionless, staring into the sea and feeling quite nostalgic. The Bob Harris introduction was fantastic, and a real pleasure to listen to, it would be nice to hear an updated version of that one day, and then the Lesley Judd (Blue Peter presenter?) interview was interesting too. It was a really nice way to start the Bank Holiday - and the weather has finally picked up a bit too. As always, thanks a lot for the effort and time you put into these - (17 days until my next Harper gig!)
