We have FOTCOG and BST up here on the Listener Review Channel http://www.radioparadise.com Please register and vote to get Nick on the playlist! Songs come round on rota, so a case of periodically checking to catch when up.
Blu Sky ADDED!! FOTCOG rejected :-( Blue Sky Thinking has been ADDED to the playlist, FINALLY!!! Thanks if you managed to vote. People are starting to comment, which is what it was all for, maybe get Nick a few more punters. You can read listener comments here: http://www.radioparadise.com/content.php?name=songinfo&song_id=40208 Field of Cloth of Gold didn't make it though. Give it a while to get Nick's name established, then we'll add more songs. Suggestions please?
Unbelievable! Pete - great news that at least one of the songs made it! (Although BST had more thumbs down than FOTCOG did and they had the same amount of thumbs up.. so I wonder how they arrived at their decision.) Anyway, I concur with Linn - go with Simple!
How about putting some comments there folks? Click on the link in my post above. I presume you are familiar with the song..........
I see it was played at 6.27 am today. Wonder how (in-)frequently they come around though? If it's similar to the Listener Review Channel...you can wait and wait an wait...! Some nice comments on there about it.
It's had a couple of plays already in the couple of days it's been on the main playlist, a good sign. Like you say Linn, some good comments on there, and not all from known accomplices. Makes the long wait seem not so bad.
How're we doing playwise on this? I've noticed we can request a play on the page you linked to before - it brings up an e-mail. I don't know if you have to write anything in it though. I did just in case! More good comments though. Not sure if they're people off here or not! (except for mine obviously!)
Nick / Paradise voting Still getting my head around Nick after Roy's influenza-fluency for so many years.. wish you wouldn't always use those acronyms .. presumably BST = Blue Sky Thinking?? What the hell is FOTCOG? I could give you sum of Roy's to confuse then... BFSA? AD? P? US?HB? F? ... ha! ha! andisean:closedeyes:
This is fun isn't it? another play, 2 more positive comments (and 2 negative-ish) today. At least it's getting Nick's name out there. Andy - the above screen shot should explain the FOTCOG acronym. I'll try t b ls lzy in ftr. P
btw; Big Fat silver Aeroplane / Another Day / Pan / Unknown Soldier / Highway Blues / Forever. What do I win?
Point well taken, Andy.. and BTW, I'm ashamed to say that I wasn't able to work out the acronyms for Roy's songs (some of which are on albums I have). It reminds me of the time I spent on a Jethro Tull newsgroup making references to songs like: TAAB, PP, SFTW, HH, WYTTHM. Kind of a secret code for insiders only..:grouphug:
Acronymitis The previous correspondent obviously got all the Acronyms right. Can't get back to him at de mo coz stuck in this screen replying to you. Tell him, if you care to know him for that matter , [obviously suffering from terminal Harperitis!] he wins a wornout fireside slipper called Mohammed!! aw:closedeyes:
You've won.. congrats.. A self-paying cruise to Rossmore to sleep closely in a wet field near our dearest inspiration! Good luck! aw:biggrin:
Jetro Tull acrostics/sticks Thick as a brick maybe? We'll do LZ and PF next to blow yr head away. AMF aw
Yer on... Thick as a Brick it is.. I should rephrase, I was ashamed that I wasn't able to think of the answers to your Harper acronyms, *before* Pete posted them. BTW - here's a PF acronym to blow your head away: SSOSFAGTIACAGWAP The person who gets it right, wins my eternal admiration!
