    Hmmm...

Hmmm....this is quite interesting. Although I'd imagine tuning a harp is rather more complex than my old 12 string.

Had wonderful time on Clifton Downs in sunny Bristol that day.

Thought a good phrase to describe Roy's persona from his lyrics as 'the kindly old reaper...taking a count of me'. Fatalistically humorous in a funny serious way. We're all trapped together, ironically. We'll all leave alone too! Enjoy it whilst it lasts if you can! You lost your ego along the way when you see yourself as a species of ape in the morning mirror each day!

Good choices, and I never felt as if Roy was just 'supporting', it was more like a short Harper gig. Fantastic to hear No. 2 again, I've not heard that live for years.

I'm no good at indoor shots, sorry! But from a distance, hand held and zoomed in... :)

SHAUN I It's so clear on the wings of the dawn

Just got back from the Palace Theatre, Manchester, Roy played a blinding setlist spanning several albums, seven songs in all, I felt Roy was just warming up towards the last couple of songs though. He also sang an impromptu few lines of Exercising Some Control after a request from the audience. The Me & My Woman finale was really spot on, it was then over all too soon which is always the case at RH gigs anyway. . I took a mate of mine tonight who has been into Roy for donkeys years, but had never seen him live, he thoroughly enjoyed it too. Unfortunately we couldn't stop for the Joanna Newsom performance.
Roy said at the end "I'll see you all again soon....Maybe?" Lets sincerely hope so! It was also great to see Roydan again and meet his other half.

As JP once rightly said, "Hats Off To Harper!"

    Setlist:
    Highway Blues
    The Unknown Soldier
    Dont You Grieve
    Francesca
    Frozen Moment
    The Green Man
    Me And My Woman

Agree about the strange offering from Crackerjack but the first seems fulsome enough.
