    Immanuel Kant, Immanuel Kant

Sorry to lower the tone but it was my purely Pavlovian reaction to hearing the name Immanuel Kant.

Interesting programme and I liked the image of an 18 year old with his Roy Harper albums under his arm, Jimi Hendrix hair style heading off to Uni.

I guess there is a link between Kant and Roy as Kant's philosophy has many similarities to Roy's

Well, there's a contact link on his website.

How do you know he loves Roy? Is there a connection?

He mentions in the piece that he heads off to Uni with his Roy Harper albums under his arm also a lot of what Kant talks about is not far away from some of Roy's views and finally he used a number of Roy's songs as intro and background music for the piece such as

Me and My Woman the line "Battlefield of Ideals" is very apt for the subject of Philosiphy

I stand corrected, you are quite right sir.

An item for the misheard lyric bin, shuffles off all embarrassed like :blushing:

Just to show how wrong I was here (in a Andi Watterson kind of way) is the proof

Easy enough to do - and there is another example in the preceding post. In fact, as an educational resource I offer up this clip from Python at the Hollywood Bowl, which features a handy 'karaoke style' lyric subtitle.

Oh, and it is important to remember that whilst Immanuel Kant, Ghengis Khan.
