Paul, Have you got VB doing some sort of stange server side caching? As I wander around the forums, I'm not getting the latest pages. For example, I visited the On Tour forum where I know I'd posted, but it only showed your original post. On clicking on the thread, I just see your post. Refresh my browser and mine appears. Go back to the home page, through to On Tour and your original post is still shown to be the most recent. Click on the thread and I see my reply as it should be. Had a play and it doesn't *seem* to be my browsers cache - but IE7 being what it is, I'm willing to be wrong... Is anyone else seeing this sort of thing? If not and it's just me, then ignore me and I'll get my coat....
I have no caching enabled on the server at all, in fact I specifically turned it off and made sure the no-cache stuff is in the headers. Having said that, I've noticed myself that I've needed to do a refresh once or twice to get the latest stuff. I'll investigate further.
Glad it's not just me. Just spotted a dead giveaway - check the time at the bottom of a page. I've just gone into the On Tour forum and it served up a page with 'The time is now 4:46pm' on it...
Well, it seems that drupal switches on the Apache mod_expires module in the .htaccess file at the top level, and since I have vb one directory below that, it was inheriting it... I have switched it off, let's see if that helps. Apologies to all to whom this is complete gibberish
Just had a quick flit around and it looks like that's nailed it Well done - take the rest of the day off...
