Below, if you care to peruse, is my interview with Mark Chadwick from the Levellers. If you read the whole thing, yes, you will come upon a certain reference to a certain event in September. This I shall start the 'Nick at RAH' thread for in the 'On Tour' forum - just to keep it simple. http://www.altnation.com/forums/pun...-mark-chadwick-comes-up-from-underground.html
Ah, thanks, Jane. Had nice comments on the Levs board too - and 357 views of the actual piece; only 350 have been mine, ha! That man so owes me for his image makeover!
He did need it with some of the stalkers the Levs have, Ive always thought he was ok myself, just misunderstood:rofl:
I finally just got round to reading the interview - wonderful job! Just goes to show what a pro can achieve
Ha - well i never realised how much work went into it. 2 nights and a morning at mine MsPR spent typing at mine and she'd already done loads by then! Not like i do a review - an hour and i'm bored. Might just about proof read it!
Took longer than that! It was a labour of love though! But I look at it now and all I can see are the flaws; where I should have pushed, what I should have left out and what I should have put in. Embarking on the second one now (sort of a re-issue with a few bonus tracks) - and repeating last weekend: travelling to Harpic and writing about Levs. Such a hard job I have!
The Levellers two downloads now available FREE for one month: A Life Less Ordinary / The Cholera Well. Pass on the download link. Burn a CD. Play on your MP3 player. Spread the word. http://www.lettersfromtheunderground.com
Nice song here from Mark - about a dog! See the last - Galahad http://faceculture.ad2stream.com/index.php?cnti_key=11734825
Good, good! Promise you'll post a Manc review, Jane, just for me?! I have been told there are 'surprises' in store, at least on the last night (and no, I don't know what!), and that they'll be sober - ha, yeah right. Not at 1am Sunday morning, I'm sure of that!
we'll see about a review, Im not good at remembering these things the next day:rofl: All of them being sober would be a miracle not just a surprise, Im only doing Manc not the last night though.
That is such a beautiful song - I love it. I wonder if it will be on the new record. But being about a fox hound......I wonder See you on Saturday, Linn.
Jane, I'll tell you why in a PM apropos review. No, I know you'll not be at the third. Shame, didn't have much chance to chat at the Tunnels. But you'll still see them before me! Mia, I think (?) Galahad is already on an album...
Read this (not mine!): http://www.livemusicreview.co.uk/reviews/20080306 Levellers.htm Don't you wish you were there. I had my AllGigs man there to do a review, and tonight our intrepid Simon Foster will be capturing all on camera in Manc.
Simon, was all 'okay'? How was show? I hear it was another blinder. Did you get lots of pics - and my 'special' ones!
You were up close! Lucky you. Did you enjoy it - and did you manage a live review too? I bet he took one look at you and thought, 'Bloody 'ell! It's him again! He's stalking me from Brighton!' Did you have ear protection as well? I gather they are loud this time!
