    This was in this week's edition of The Star. To win tickets, get your name in the draw NOW! Closes July 8.




    Barnsley Original Music festival is now in its
    fifth consecutive year and has become a
    beacon for unsigned bands in the Yorkshire
    region.
    The five stage events has some of the best-unsigned bands, solo
    artists, deejays and mcs the region has to offer. 50 unsigned artists
    on the day will be performing with guests from Milan, Ireland and
    Norway and two great live Headline performers.
    Nick Harper who is one of the best acoustic, singer songwriting
    craftsmen on the circuit will be headlining the acoustic marquee and
    Inspiral Carpets frontman joins up with The Falls Steve Hanley to
    bring us Tom Hingley and the Lovers who will be Headlining the Main
    stage. BOMfest have invited Toms band back to headline as a thank
    you for performing at the first outdoor BOMfest in 2005.
    Some of the artists playing at BOMfest 2008 are G.U. Medicine, The
    Headliners, The Delicateers, Kava Kava, Skinboat, Raised by
    Animals, The Dead Rabbits,
    Leon Odoherty, Mid Air 91, Del
    Fuego, Callus, C F Bundy,
    Katus. Celt Islam will be
    headlining the Urban stage.
    Pre festival tickets are available
    for five pounds and the gate
    cost will be ten pounds on the
    day so it is advisable to get
    your tickets early. Online tickets

    BOMfest 2008 will take place on
    Saturday 19th July 2008 (12
    noon – 10pm) at Locke Park in
    Barnsley. Tickets: are priced at
    £5 and £10 on the gate and are
    on sale now, Capacity is 5000

    lucky readers, for your chance to win a pair simply enter our free
    prize draw by text, email or post: Text STARBOM and leave a space,
    followed by your full name and members zone number, then send to
    81800. Texts cost 60p plus your standard network charge. This will
    be charged to you mobile phone bill. Get the bill payer's permission.
    Do not text after deadline as you may still be charged and your
    entry will not be entered into our draw.
