Is she being smeared? I believe in innocent until proven guilty, and positively want to know what happened to her, why it has taken so long for it to come out and why it should be prosecuted half a lifetime later. Despite all the stuff in the media following the exposure of predatory men, I find it hard to cast Roy into that mould and also personally know that under-age sex in and of itself is not necessarily harmful. The case was originally scheduled in August. I have actively searched for additional information about the case, and have found nothing. I never knew that the reasons for delay could be sensitive information.

I don't think that is a completely out-of-the-blue hypothesis, given the delay in coming forward, but I also recognise that delay in coming forward does not necessarily mean innocence either. I want the case to be heard and resolved. I hate the idea of someone I respect and admire to be accused of something heinous, and it must be even more wearing for Harper.
If 'reporting restrictions' were placed on the matter, you wouldn't. Personally, I think names shouldn't have been mentioned at all until after the trial but I'm not the judge.
I thought that reporting restrictions were used to prevent IDENTITY being disclosed. That is fair enough in sensitive cases. But why on earth would it apply to WHEN a hearing is going to be held? Why would it be applied to procedure, e.g. WHY it was postponed? I wholly disapprove of secret trials. Justice should be done, and be seen to be done.

It is extremely distressing if you're not a strong person and can prevail through all the legal shite. Both parties at odds with each other will also have psychiatric assessments to analyse the veracity of their compos mentis.. takes time... that would be my assessment but ain't no lawyer..take care everyone and calm doon plsxxxx

The longer the summation and deliberation makes me think and pray hopefully that to process such an ancient file of evidence is almost impossible and they don't know what to do or judge decisively ... in my humble opinion.. x

had a brief look at work but had a poor signal, i thought he had been cleared of all charges. is this standard procedure to go through each charge and announce them one by one.

cleared of second charge of indecent assault, jury undecided on the rest case closed cps have two weeks to decide on retrial on the 5 remaining charges, guess there is no evidence either way, pity all charges could not be decided on as mud sticks unfortunately.
Here's hoping the whole bloody thing gets thrown out- sooner rather than later! I'm starting to get really frustrated with all this and it's obvious what evidence there is (scant by the sounds of it) is complete BS. There is no reason for a retrial and Roy should really be walking free right now.
